Is There A Legal Anabolic Steroid?

Steroids - News

After learning about steroids and their effects if abused, and you still want to be able to get the positives without the health problems, there are alternatives to anabolic steroids. These legal steroidslegal steroids substitutes come from many different manufacturers and are available at vitamin stores, and their outcome...building muscle but healthier.

But if you want to actually get your hands on a legal anabolic steroid, they do not exist. The Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 1990 defined anabolic-androgenic steroids as "any drug or hormonal substance chemically and pharmacologically related to testosterone." The act exempts estrogens, progestin, and corticosteroids, which are mostly prescribed by doctors for inflammation in the body.

A person who is knowledgeable about steroids may be aware of prohormones, but a tidbit of information that you many not know is that prohormones are now included in this Act. Under this new law, prohormones are included in the definition. It took effect January 2005, increasing the penalty for violations. That penalty has been increased to a felony from its previous status as a misdemeanor.

A prohormone, which is sometimes referred to as pro-steroids or just steroid, is a precursor to a hormone, which usually gives off hormonal effects once inside the body after it is turned into a hormone. The conversion, or changing process of prohormone to hormone is via enzymatic processes and it usually occurs in the endoplasmic reticulum, which is responsible for producing protein and lipids within the cells' organ. After inserting the prohormone in the body, they are metabolized into testosterone, just as anabolic steroids, therefore making it a part of the Act and making it illegal. Prohormones are capable of forcing muscle and strength gains since they exert basically the same anabolic and androgenic effects as anabolic steroids.

Prohormones, were once believe to be the functional equivalent to steroids and once enjoyed legal status. These types of steroids were once highly popular among bodybuilders and athletes who did not want to use anabolic steroids.

On the Internet there are many sites that claim that they have "legal steroids" when in fact they do not. Most legitimate sites offer the advice to watch what you're told because any site or professional with credibility knows that these do not exist in pure form such as anabolic steroids or prohormones. They offer free testing etcetera but they are not legit. However, there are effective supplements online and in stores that can help build muscle and help with performance and body image. The supplements are the healthy, legal version that a person should use. Do not be fooled by the pictures of huge bodybuilders, they could be a hoax.

Another surprising fact is that anabolic steroids are not illegal in all countries, the status varies but most places are aware of the risks associated with this form being legal. Also, the places that have anabolic steroids available legally are still under controlled substance watch, just as the Controlled Substance Act has done for the United States.
